TGT - TO GATHER TOGETHER

The proposed project is based on the construction of open and inclusive environments for boys and girls, coaches but also for families. "To gather together" promotes an innovative and practical method to counter gender stereotypes in sport through a new work setting that includes a series of sports activities, joint training methods and good practices for girls, boys, coaches and parents. The “To gather together” project allows Youth Workers to develop new skills. The "Evoluzione e Benessere association", the coordinator of the project, has developed a method to promote gender equality in its programs: the "TO GATHER TOGETHER" method. This method is the result of a series of measures that have been implemented over time in order to support the male students wishing to enroll in the dance course and the female students in the taekwondo course, but which, influenced by the pressure of stereotypes, they did not feel comfortable making this decision. "Evoluzione e Benessere association" has organized its activity plan according to new rules and invented new weekly training methods. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Promote the educational role of sports associations in the field of Gender Equality, spreading an innovative and practical method including sports activities and rules of conduct for girls, boys and parents and which allows Youth Workers to develop new skills. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE 1: Educating for equal opportunities in sport. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE 2: Provide an innovative and practical method for countering gender stereotypes in sport to sports associations and allowing them to offer new activities to their community.
