โ–ถSummary

This project aims to highlight the bidirectional link between sport and landscape: we will encourage outdoor sports as a daily practice for psycho-physical well-being, which can benefit from the richness of our natural heritage; on the other hand we will organize training and practical activities that aim to promote the adoption of responsible behaviours during the sporting practice itself and to increase the awareness on environmental issues and the development of good practices for the protection, recovery and enhancement of the natural heritage. The project will involve 5 partners and about 200 beneficiaries (youth, youth workers, volunteers, coaches, trainers) from Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Greece and Serbia. Project objectives: - To raise awareness about the importance of health-enhancing physical activity; - To encourage the development of outdoor sport activities, as a tool for developing the knowledge of European culture and environment, raising awareness on the importance of their preservation and stimulating active participation in ecological activities; - To develop skills and key competences of volunteers, trainers, youth workers and professionals of the partner organizations and other stakeholders, who wish to promote environmentally responsible behaviours in outdoor sports and activities; - To create a network of organizations from five European countries, promoting connections and exchange of good practices in the field of outdoor sports and environmental protection. Activities and outputs: kick-off meeting in Spain; meetings and mapping of local stakeholders in the field of youth, sports and environmental protection in each country; survey for identification and selection of paths and areas to be cleaned and restored; creation of the projectโ€™s website with e-learning modules and an interactive map with eco-paths; international training in Serbia, local training, visibility events and eco-walks in each country, final meeting and conference in Italy.
