Watersport4green - An unconventional training approach that combines water sports, knowledge of the environment and awareness of pollution prevention.

The project is structured in environmental education modules on river, lake and sea waters dedicated to target children and young people of school age - from 7 to 23 years old integrated with sports promotion modules for introducing young people to the practice of water sports with zero impact on the environment. Horizontal Policy Priority: Environmental sustainability, digital dimension Specific Policy priorities in Sport: Encouraging the participation in sport and physical activity, common values, civic engagement and participation How we will operate: Activity a) elearning training session on environment, pollution and a first root level approach to kayak, rowing, sup, sail and windsurf, Activity b) small groups in different trips will be take to experience watersport in local sport clubs, and followed by sport coaches, teachers, biologists and environmental technicians will be led to the discovery of nature and observation of the state of health of the basins Activity c) This experience will take them confronting each other among the European consortium, sharing ideas, comparing experiences, also developing the ability to tell stories, once they return through the use of photographs, drawings and videos. At the end every crew/team will produce an ebook with the stories they have collected, to be shared to the friends of the other european members of the W4G project and local governments. In terms of outcomes, the project aspires to create a model for a transnational educational approach, that is, a network of local non-formal training events that interact internationally with each other across the architecture of the partnership. The informative proposal, in the manner of meetings, the content of e-learning topics and water experiences will allow regional stakeholders to come into contact with ideas, knowledge and best practices of international quality.
