K2S - GenZ - Future volunteers - Key to success is Generation Z

Members of the partnership are committed to the development of university sports movement and the core values of this community. Therefore, long-term goals include development of the university sports movement and encouragement the active participation of young people. One of our most important task is to overcome prejudices and restore the value of volunteering as a valuable job experience. Partners recognize the changed needs and habits of future volunteers, that is why we turn to Generation Z in an innovative way and want to learn about modern digital solutions and channels. The objectives of the project are to study and summarize the requirements in field of voluntary, study the characteristics and needs of Generation Z, identify digital solutions, recruit 10 volunteers and delegate them to events, gather feedbacks from stakeholders and produce strategically thoughtful professional materials. The preparation phase of the project starts in two directions. Based on a foundational research the Guideline and General Job Descriptions will be completed, a professional material that we intend to use as a workshop material for voluntary preparation. Parallelly, through the partners’ channels we will recruit and select the 10 volunteers. Partners will contribute to the event delegation and the post-event evaluation based on personal and group interviews. In order to motivate volunteers and deepen their involvement, we plan to give them a project task that they need to plan and implement together. Final goal and output is the compilation of the Research Study and the foundation of the Future Project, that will provide a suitable basis for optimised management of volunteers. Beside gaining experience in field of voluntary and project management, the main beneficiaries will be the volunteers. We are determined to take the project further and give the involved 10 volunteers a particularly important role because key to our success is Generation Z.
