Sport can play a role in dealing with the challenge of tackling radicalization and may contribute to enhance European values such as tolerance, integration and intercultural dialogue. Football being the most popular sport in Europe, national football federations have a wide audience reach and can provide a determinant contribution in the fight of radicalization not only in the football domain, but in the larger society. In this context, the main objectives of the FAIRER- Football AgaInst Radical bEhavioRs project will be: - analyzing state of the art and innovative practices highlighting the role of football in preventing radicalisation in the partner countries; - developing shared and standardized guidelines that football associations and relevant national institutions can follow in the fight against radicalization in the society; - making football stakeholders active agents of society well-being through their active involvement in guidelines co-creation and testing, thus promoting a culture of active engagement against radicalization; - mainstreaming the FAIRER approach through adequate training and dissemination activities, and ultimately creating a collaborative and factual network including football federations and clubs, national institutions and relevant associations (like fansโ associations). The expected outcomes of the FAIRER project will be: - A State of the art report concerning common issues and solutions in fighting radicalization. It will include good practices and weakness points in each national context - FAIRER Guidelines on how football can prevent radical behaviors - An online learning course including FAIRER guidelines and practical suggestions on how to implement them, as well as an internal evaluation tool which will allow Football clubs to - -The FAIRER CUP. The final event of the FAIRER project will be both a final conference and a sport tournament.
