Alliance of amateur basketball referees Project “Alliance of amateur basketball referees” would be implemented in the partnership of Sport Club “Tvrdjava” from Serbia, Club for Youth Empowerment 018 (KOM 018) from Serbia, Barcel’hona Sport Events from Spain, Association for promotion of sports “Crohoops” from Croatia and ASD Margherita Sports e Vita from Italy in the period 01.01. – 31.12.2022. General goal: To foster transnational cooperation the field of amateur basketball. Objectives of the project are: - To develop new methodology for the education of amateur basketball referees. The objective will be achieved through WP1.3 Preliminary meeting of experts and WP1.4 Development of the training module for referees. - To provide young athletes, students, amateurs and recreational players with skills and competences of basketball referees at the amateur basketball competitions. The objective will be achieved through WP1.5 Organization of the international training that will gather 40 participants from 4 participating countries. - To form Alliance of amateur basketball referees. All activities in the project will lead to achieving this objective that will be finalized through WP1.7 Final event. Project will provide set of skills for referees in the basketball, especially focusing on young players offering them an alternative after finishing their career in the basketball. Working with amateur sports is more and more popular and massive and it needs to find qualified persons who will be specialized only for these sorts of sports, like that is case with people who are engaged from official sport alliances. Considering that 40% of basketball players in the world are amateur basketball players and semi-amateurs project will also result in the formation of Alliance of amateur basketball referees.
