RM4SG - Risk Management For Sport Governance
โถSummary
More than a year after its initial outbreak, COVID-19 continues to ravage the world and the sports ecosystem has not been spared. We believe that the situation derived from COVID-19 has provided an ideal scenario for those responsible for sports organisations to be even more aware of the possible risks that the management of a sports organisation may entail. This project aims to assess the impact of COVID-19 and to develop a risk management model to be implemented by the European Sports Organisations. Analysing the past, the present and good management practices should allow us to create a reference framework so that our sports organisations can better manage themselves in the face of future crises. In addition, it will be of great value that sports organisations have a tool that allows them to identify and analyse risk management, to be able to consult and avoid future unfavorable situations. Furthermore, through this approach, the project intends to strongly contribute to improving the risk management approach in sports organisations. Risk reduction implies the application of adequate control measures (KRI) to modify risk factors in such a way as to reduce the probability of occurrence and reduce the consequences. Without proper risk management it is impossible to imagine a modern and adaptable organisation operating. We are fully convinced that the approach of the project will contribute to having healthier and more sustainable organisations over time. This will lead to preserving and promoting the European sports model, as well as the recovery of the sports sector and the survival of sports organisations and grassroots, amateur and performance sports. Risk Management for Sport Governance will unite 5 countries of the European Union. Thanks to the analysis of the different countries, we will be able to observe which have been the main consequences, risks and the best strategies according to the geographical area and type of sports organisations.
