GOLD SPORT - GOvernance Leadership and Diversity in SPORT

The project “GOvernance, Leadership and Diversity for Sport” is a small-scale partnership led by the Mixity et Performance association. This project will be conducted for 12 months and aims to promote diversity in sport organization, especially in their governance, global performance. Mixity represents women and men from diverse and multiple backgrounds, respectful of each other’s rights, qualities and skills in perfect parity. The main objective is to create an innovative label that can boost equality in sport leadership, women visibility and representation, and act against discriminatory behaviours in order to ensure a healthy and inspiring environment in the sports field for both athletes and professionals. In order to achieve this overall goal, several actions will be conducted by the 3 partner organizations from 3 European countries. Several specific objectives can be highlighted: - Perform an analysis and mapping of legal, social, and cultural practices of gender equity in sport governance organizations in the 3 European countries involved in this project (France, Italy, and Sweden). - Obtain a benchmark with concrete and operational steering indicators to create a label in order to support professional and amateur sport clubs, federations, leagues and organizations in their development policy and implement an action plan by adopting an European code of conduct and guidelines - Disseminate and promote this label in the 3 European countries involved by creating a network between structures sharing the idea that diversity is a richness for sport governance.
