Recovery - Building capacity of sport clubs for recovery
โถSummary
There is no generally accepted good governance code or standard supported by a wide-ranging group of sports stakeholders. When it comes to grassroots sport clubs, the question is how can they efficiently and effectively, transparently and accountably implement good governance and at the same time handle the crisis such as the COVID-19 crisis. In order to help grassroots sport clubs in that regard, we want to build capacities of their staff, so they can better exploit the available EU funding opportunities. The main objective of this project is to increase capacities of sport clubs for better and more effective exploitation of EU funding opportunities. This will be achieved by organising four training courses in four European countries. Participants are eight staff members of four sport clubs from Croatia, Hungary, Portugal and Serbia and two educators from Croatia. The outcomes of the training are increased knowledge and skills on preparation and implementation of EU projects. The project will deliver six outputs in the form of a report, which will stem from six meetings including training courses. The project will directly contribute to improving good governance of grassroots sport clubs by strengthening their resilience in the aftermath of COVID-19 pandemic, increasing the quality and standards of clubs' work and practices and better and more effective exploitation of EU funding opportunities.
