DOS - Door Out to more Sport for all
βΆSummary
Covid19 restricting measures that were in place, or still are, in Europe, influenced the level of people practicing sport and physical activities, as well as made an impact on changing peopleβs preferences when it comes to practicing sport. They were faced with the moment in which they will either drop out from practicing sport or in which they start searching for new sport opportunities adapted to Covid19 and their personal preferences. This is especially situation with young people and vulnerable social groups, who are also exposed to other effects of pandemics. Therefore, our project aims to foster participation of young people in sport and physical activities in Europe through multi-sport outdoor methodology promoting social inclusion of disadvantaged youth. This will be achieved through: O1: Explore the reasoning and motivation behind changing patterns in young people preferences in sport and physical activities; O2: Develop cross-sectoral, multi-sport and inclusive methodologies that are responsive to the needs of young people aiming to boost practicing of sport and physical activities among them; O3: Strengthen capacities of sport clubs, camps and youth organizations (stakeholders) to respond on Covid19 impact on their work and beyond through integration of DOS methodology into their programs and activities; O4: Create a DOS web platform as a point for exchange of best practices and methodological upgrade through widely open participatory approach; O5: Engage wider community of sport clubs, camps and youth organizations into using of DOS results through multiplication and dissemination efforts. There will be one WP with 14 tasks including all project phases. Main results are: Research on youth preferences in sport with 300 youth; DOS methodology developed; capacities of 20 + 20 stakeholders enhanced; DOS web page developed; multiplication and advocacy actions reached 590 stakeholders more; DOS social media campaign reached 200.000 stakeholders and youth.
