EMPLOY_S - Sport Skills for Employment
▶Summary
The Sport Skills for Employment (EMPLOY_S) project aims to contribute to youth athletes' employability by cataloging sport values developed at different modalities, levels and sport lifestyles into labour market skills, throught the design and test of a booklet that could be added to the CV and valuated by the employers. The proposal contains a simple but effective project design with three work packages, guaranteeing the three main tasks for its success: quality management, rigorous research and a pilot program from which to draw conclusions and recommendations based on experience. Each os these packages is leaded by a partner, based on their strengths and abilities. The consortium is composed by a sport event's organizer (Tempo Finito), a research entity (University of Zaragoza) and a multisports camps and competitions developer (Sunlive) which will ensure the achievement of all the three main aspects and quality outputs. The project is structured into 8 Project Actions (PA), distributed in the different project phases: - Preparation: Virtual Meeting 1 (PA1), EACEA Kick-Off meeting and Transnational Project Meeting 1 (PA2). - Implementation: Survey A to athletes (PA3), Transnational Project Meeting 2 (PA4) and the former athletes and employers questionare-Surevy B (PA5). A second virtual meeting is planned (PA6) before designing the Booklete (PA7 ) and testing it (PA8) in a pilot prohramme. - Evaluation will be done by satisfaction surveys, feedback interview as well as project impact indicators. Project management and disseminations are two transversal phases. EMPLOY_S will result in a evidence-based contrinution to knowledge about how to incorporate sport skills into labor market, revaluing the values that sport offers our European youth. These values largely coincide with some of the European values that are so necessary to promote today.
