NO_LIMITS - NO LIMITS: Sports for Gifted Youth
▶Summary
The NO_LIMITS project aims to contrinute to knowledge and inclusion of intelectually gifted children and youth into physical activities and sports. For this, a part of research will be carried out both with the families of gifted children and young people and with coaches to analyze the difficulties they face and the lack of training that exists in this regard. Once this analysis has been carried out, a group of coaches will be trained in the aspects to be taken into account in relation to working with athletes with high intellectual abilities, seeking to improve their physical, mental and social health. A pilot experience will be carried out for which a program will be designed and the entire experience, once evaluated, will result in a Handbook on sports and high capacity. Given the relevance of the theme at a European level and the existing lack of knowledge, an awareness campaign will be launched to expand the impact of the project. To achieve these objectives, a partnership has been formed made up of a coordinator, which is the Association Sin Limites Alta Capacidad (Aragonese association of families of gifted children and young people) from Spain, an organization Board of Directors of Sports Educational Institutions of Latvia, which unites 84 sports schools nationwide and, finally, and given the importance of obtaining rigorous scientific knowledge, aRithmò, whose purpose is data analysis. The design includes a single work package subdivided into three major tasks: management, monitoring and evaluation (1), research (2) and workshop and pilot program (3).
