โ–ถSummary

This project is a Small collaborative partnership that has the specific objective of increasing the level of physical activity of the elderly population, thus providing a healthier and higher quality lifestyle and rooting its importance in the fight against certain chronic diseases and as a means of reducing the morbidity. The project will encourage the population to adopt a more active, healthy and sustainable lifestyle, through awareness of the amount of exercise, food and its production and origin and access to physical activity for everyone regardless of their socioeconomic situation or physical ability. In addition, the project aims to present new technologies to the elderly, making them aware of their benefits, namely in combating loneliness through digital proximity, and occupying free time with educational games and as facilitators for different tasks, such as scheduling medical appointments. During the 24 months duration, the partners developed small seminars/workshops and dissemination events on different topics, equally important for the target group, namely, environmental sustainability, health, nutrition and digital technology. For a better implementation of the project, employees and caregivers will receive training on physical activity in the elderly in order to increase the number of hours of classes/trainings taught. Adding a learning moment to the one already taught by the sports professional. To disseminate the project activities, results and good examples, it will be created an eBook and Policy Recommendations on active, healthier, greener and more technological elderly populations.
