GSM - Greener Sports' Minds

Through sports, grassroots organizations contribute to a good Governance of sport at the local level associated with the consciousness of the finitude of natural environmental resources, empowering local settings where individuals, as well as youth workers and grassroots organizations, are inserted (here good Governance viewed as Community values and Cultural drivers); Through a more critical sportive practice awareness for the finitude of environmental resources, create a sense of belonging around the innovative concept of “Greener Sports' Minds” and with that, at Sport grassroots level create a movement to meet the environmental challenges that the EU propose to all without exception. All the activities, results and deliverables are intended to start with a small INVESTIGATION STAGE on how to manage citizen participation based on a specific model with traditional sports and games as a method, producing the Toolkit of Strategies for Successful Green Sports' Minds Citizen Involvement and the Greener Sports' Minds Organizer's Book: Citizen Involvement Assessment. Then taking into consideration the material from the research, training locally the primary target group (youth workers; grassroots organizations and youngsters) in each partner country designated by COACHING LOCAL YOUTH STAGE, the aim is to engage at least 90 Greener Sports' MasterMinds (Ambassadors and Shareholders) per organization (450 in total). After building local communities, we start the MAKING COMMUNITY BRIDGES stage a) 3 local stakeholders from each partner promote 3 Pilot Awareness Days involving 15 persons per event (225 total). b) Official Awareness Days will be promoted by each partner in cooperation with the local stakeholders. 4 events per country with a minimum of 50 individuals (1000 total) c) European Awareness Day will be held in each country with a minimum participation of 120 individuals (600 total) We strongly believe that the seeded Greener Sports' Mind will grow!!
