Summary

The project "Popularization of Japanese archery, improvement of adepts' skills, improving the quality of instructors' work and the attractiveness of kyudo training" is carried out by two organizations conducting archery training - from Poland and Austria. The cooperation project is based on the exchange of experience and mutual learning of participants - kyudo instructors and archery adepts. The exchange of good practices, training together, workshops and training sessions are intended to: 1) support the development of skills in sport; 2) encourage the dual career of athletes; 3) promote the high quality of work of trainers and staff; 4) usage of mobility as a tool for improving qualifications. The main project activities are: 1) the on-line cooperation of the project participants concerning the methodological aspects of trainers' work; 2) conducting popularization, educational and promotional activities in the field of sports, physical activity, healthy lifestyle; 3) mobility of instructors and seminars aimed to exchange of practical skills in the field of archery and organization of trainings. We assume the impact of the project in the following areas: 1) promotion and increase in the number of people practicing Japanese archery in Poland and Austria; 2) the development of archery skills among all the participants of the project and the resulting motivation; 3) improving in all kyudo instructors coaching skills, increase in motivation and involvement in teaching and practicing kyudo in both organisations; 4) an increase in students involvement in practicing sports, in their own development - in the field of sport and European values, resulting from practicing Japanese archery, higher level of their participation in sports events and sports volunteering, improvement in organisations’ sport achievements expressed in better results during tournaments.
