SASE - Sport Against Social Exclusion
▶Summary
So forget the limitations, there are none in sports. There is a place for everyone in sports and recreation! With expert support, specialist assistive equipment and guidance from our fully qualified instructors you can go to the pool, playground, park or sports hall and learn to or give yourself a try in the various forms of sport of the SASE project: swimming, elements of fitness, first steps in sports, recreation for the elderly, handball, football, climbing, gymnastics.. With a SASE project, the project partners would like to establish a sport as an opportunity for all. The main project objective is to provide recreational and sports activities for people with fewer opportunities. The project will enable children, adults and seniors with fewer opportunities to participate in the activities no matter their social status. The consortium connects three different partners to learn from one another to ensure the best effect of the project. We have strategically selected our two partners in the projects. In establishing the consortium, we invited an Italian partner Ballafon Società Cooperativa Sociale, as the organization has extensive experience in working with groups of people with fewer opportunities, socially excluded. Ballafon deals with migrants on a daily basis and can provide a great insight of their needs and specifics regarding social inclusion (especially through sports). We want to transfer good practices to Slovenia and Croatia. Our Croatian partner is an expert in providing programmes for swimming literacy and can thus provide great good practices for establishing higher numbers of swimming literacy amongst people with fewer opportunities. The Croatian partner Open Water Swimming Club Primorje is involved due to his knowledge of swimming literacy. Swimming literacy is predisposed by economic status of families. Since our main target group are people with fewer opportunities, this club proves to be the perfect choice for this project.
