Summary

GameS project is an Erasmus+ Sports project that includes 18 months of implementation with 4 partners from 3 different countries. The project aims to share and popularize traditional games by classifying them for different seasonal conditions. The consortium, which was established for this purpose, will carry the games to the international dimension with the game camps, local game promotion events and the final game festival. The project has parallel goals in many aspects with the EU goals. These are: Promoting participation in sports and physical activity: It aims to encourage physical activity in children with traditional games. Promoting integrity and values in sport: It encourages positive behaviours (self-esteem, sharing, cooperation, tolerance) that games will bring to children. The online planning of management meetings and the digitalization of project outputs will contribute to both European green goals and digital transformation goals. Project’s target audience is children and adults working for children. Therefore, teachers and coaches will be the key people of the project during and after the project. Teachers who will be involved in each project activity are responsible for transferring their achievements to children and colleagues. Project setup aims to popularize games by making demo application with game camps. The reason for this is to ensure that the most fun and applicable game options for children are included in the project. Project planning is in the form of a summer game camp in TR, a winter game camp in LV, a nature game camp in BG, and finally a final event in TR. After each international event, local promotional activities will be organized in each country. In this way, it is ensured that the project outputs reach wider audiences. At the end of the project, a narrative digital game booklet and game trailers will be produced. This is the key to ensuring the sustainability of the project even after the process is completed.
