TT4INCLUSION - Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities and Development Disorders into Table Tennis
โถSummary
The overall goal of this project is to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities and development disorders by increasing their participation in sports. The first specific objective is to develop an awareness of the opportunities for training table tennis among persons with disabilities and development disorders. This will require development of content that promotes the benefits of table tennis, with particular focus on persons with disabilities and development disorders, in a straightforward and easily accessible manner. In addition to that, this target audience must be reached thorough a campaign combining different channels of communication, such as an online campaign, direct contact through visits to schools, advertisements in printed and electronic media, etc. The second specific objective is to raise awareness of persons with disabilities and development disorders as equal members of the society. This project aims to contribute to this goal through its inclusive nature, specifically, through joined trainings with persons with disabilities and healthy athletes. Table tennis is a sport that allows for such joint trainings. The next specific goal is to advance the capacities for the clubs participating in the project, to allow them to accept persons with disabilities and development disorders and register them as competing athletes. This is of utmost importance, as it would allow them to take part in official table tennis competitions. Finally, the last specific goal of the project is to increase the number of persons with disabilities and development disorders involved in the training process with healthy athletes in the participating clubs. In addition to the access to training, persons with disabilities will gain access to competitions.
