The project GREW pursues the specific Erasmus+ Small Collaborative Partnership Sport priority related to combat violence, racism, discrimination and intolerance in sport. Our project aims to respond to the challenge of social exclusion of ethnic minorities in Europe, withparticular attention to addressing the issue of prevention of racism in sport, especially among young people. The need of intervention in order to prevent racism and discrimination is confirmed by the following guidelines of the European Union which requires a strong intervention on this issue: WHITE PAPER ON SPORT (2007): The Commission also encourages the exchange of good practice and information on preventing racism. The Commission has repeatedly condemned all manifestations of racism and xenophobia, which are incompatible with EU values. With regard to racist and xenophobic attitudes, the Commission will continue to promote dialogue and exchange of best practices in existing cooperation frameworks, such as the Football against Racism in Europe (FARE). The creation of high-level conferences to discussmeasures to prevent and combat violence and racism at sporting events with stakeholders is also encouraged. DEVELOPMENT OF SPORTS' DIMENSION (2011): As shown in a recent report by the EU Fundamental Rights Agency (Racism, ethnic discrimination and exclusion of ethnic minorities and minorities in sport: comparative overview of the situation in the European Union (2010): Racism, xenophobia and other forms of intolerance continue to pose problems in European sport, including at amateur level. Member States are encouraged to ensure full and effective transposition of Council Framework Decision 2008/913/JHA on combating certain forms and expressions of racism and xenophobia by criminal law means and to support activities to combat these phenomena. The project will have as a priority Inclusion and diversity in all fields of education, training, youth and sport. In this respect, it aims to
