Goal The project aims to contribute social inclusion and equality by organizing and leveraging free street soccer tournaments for youth between the age of 11-12, and with this also increase physical activity. Specific Objectives โ€ข SO1 - Research the definition of equality for youth and the learning outcomes of the diversity game. โ€ข SO2 - Implement the newly developed gender equality toolbox in the project. โ€ข SO3 - Train 1.000 of volunteers in the social inclusion and equality toolbox. โ€ข SO4 - Host 106 unique game days for the tournaments in four different countries with a final match day in Barcelona, Spain. โ€ข SO5 - Engage 8.500 children age 11-12 in the project and educate them on the social inclusion and equality. Activities WP 1 - Project and Management Coordination: WP2 - Preparation and Develop the Method WP 3 - Preliminary Competitions WP 4 - Final Tournament in Spain WP 5 - Impact and Dissemination Type and Number of persons benefiting from the project: The project aims to educate on social inclusion and equality 8.500 children from the age of 11-12 from four different European countries. In addition the project aims to educate 1.000 volunteers on the tools for social inclusion and equality. Expected Results and outcome: The events held are designed to contribute to change on the following levels: youth (age 11-12) participating in the street soccer tournaments, volunteers accompanying teams or leading activities, and the consortia partners. Events promote awareness and importance of social inclusion and equality, and it will educate youth on how to reflect on their own behaviour and that of others in this context. The project aims to implement tools for volunteers for detection of social exclusion and inequality and are able to take effective action in an engaging manner. The participating organizations are better equipped to educate volunteers on social inclusion and equality by providing volunteers with the necessary tools and resources.
