ARCHed EtP - ARCHed: Educating to Promote
▶Summary
With the ARCHed Educating to Promote project our partnership wants to foster transnational cooperation in the field of horseback archery. Secondly, it intends to increase the competences of HBA coaches to teach by encouraging them to undergo professional development. To enable this professional change we will help them increase their knowledge, skills and attitudes through a new training methodology that will also contribute to the development of HBA as a sport discipline. But above all this project aims to make a transformation in the life of all project’s participants (direct and indirect) to become more aware of EU common values and principles (such as inclusion, diversity, environmental challenges) and to enhance societal links through mobility, exchanges and social and civic engagement through non-formal learning activities. Specific objectives of this project are: 1. To develop innovative training materials 2. To promote a healthy lifestyle for all 3. To strengthen the network of HBA sport organisations. Although the discipline of our project is HBA sport, the outputs we are producing have universal elements presenting European added value: 1) new training materials in the form of online modules “HOW2 Toolbox”, explaining and demonstrating in detail things as: HOW2 choose: a bow, arrows or saddle, HOW2 draw and release the arrow, HOW2 understand the physics behind archery. Apart from that it will also include issues as: HOW2 build a good relation between the coach and the competitor, HOW2 prevent hate speech, HOW2 respect fair play rules in competitions, HOW2 manage stress before competitions HOW2 build competitor commitment, HOW2 build resilience in the difficult times 2) a questionnaire “Do I lead a healthy lifestyle?” This tool will help individuals to self-assess their degree of involvement in sports activities, healthy diet etc., it will explain how to take care of mental and physical well-being and it will include tips and practical exercises.
