Summary

The SPRING 2.0-STIR (Sport as a Tool for the Inclusion of Refugees) project arises as a continuation of the SPRING project (Sport4Development for the Promotion of Inclusion and Resilience in New Generations), given the need to generate short, medium and long-term responses for the inclusion of refugees and people from migration contexts after the huge population displacements in Eastern Europe as a result of the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine. This new small-scale partnership is again designed as a methodology transfer of Sport for Development but with a focus on the inclusion of children and youth from migrant and refugee contexts. Objectives: (I) To promote the development of socio-emotional skills of migrant and refuge e children and youth and the inclusion of diversity through sport; (II) To train educators of three organisations from Poland, Slovakia and Romania in the socio-sport methodology of Sport for Development to promote inclusion and diversity; and (III) To disseminate the results of the training and implementation. The consortium will be formed by four partners from different parts of Europe: Fútbol Más Spain, the Polish organisation Fundacja Rozwoju Sportu Espanola, Pimpimpáré Play House (Slovakia), and the Romanian Humanist Association (A.U.R). Activities: - Training for 50 educators, coaches and youth leaders of partners in the Fútbol Más socio-sport methodology, framed within the discipline of Sport for Development and Inclusion of migrant and refugees. This training will be carried out through blended learning trainings. - Implementation of socio-sport activities to put into practice everything learnt in the training. - A monitoring and evaluation process with subsequent analysis, in order to disseminate the results through intellectual outputs. If successful, the project can be scaled up and extended in future calls to more clubs in Europe.
