The project PLAYFUL AGEING is focused on one of the main priorities of Erasmus+ Sport: - Encouraging participation in sport and physical activity, especially - the promotion of all activities encouraging the practice of sport and physical activity including traditional sport and games and intergenerational sport, - equal opportunities in sport, and - building capacity of organisations to work transnationally and across sectors. The proposal is in line with the above-mentioned topic because its strategic goal consists on encouraging social inclusion and equal opportunities in sport, increasing skills and competences of volunteers, awareness raising, encouraging participation in health enhancing physical activity with special focus on women and strenghthening cooperation between sport organisations, local community and other stakeholders. For a lot of people running, cycling or hitch-hiking is a boring activity and they lack the motivation. Basketball is one of the most attractive sports and therefore one of the most popular sports where we can improve our endurance, strength, agility, cognitive elements and other elements of all four dimensions of physical literacy (physical, psychological, cognitive and social). It represents a traditional form of physical activity, which is widely liked and enjoyed among general public. The above mentioned strategic objectives will be accomplished by achieving the following specific objectives and deliverables of the project: - Building capacity of dance teachers, sport managers and volunteers, - Enhance participation in physical activities, - Development of basketball networking platform, - Dissemination campaign and sustainability of the network .
