โ–ถSummary

Europe is facing huge challenges caused by the passive lifestyle because more than 54.4 percent of people of working age do sedentary work for more than 40-50 hours a week. This share exceeded 50 % in 11 EU countries and reached more than 70 % in Bulgaria, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary and other countries (Eurostat, 2021). In line with the overall goals of the Erasmus + Sport program, our project "Revolutionizing work habits: A methodology for promoting innovation and employee health through workplace workouts" promotes a modern and accessible forms (means) of physical activity in workplaces for middle-aged office employees thus forming regular physical activity habits. With the help of European partners, project aim not only to integrate new physical activity measures by forming regular physical habits, but together with a partner to study the target group, identify changes in physical activity habits during the project and develop a unique methodology focused especially on countries where the level of physical activity in the workplace is still very low and under the European average. During the implementation of the project, it is planned to achieve the following results: 1. Based on 12 selected companies where the target group works (persons aged 30-65, who spend more than 7-8 hours a day at the computer) to determine how other physical activity habits are after integrating innovative physical activity measures into the daily environment of employees (desk with padel under) . The qualitative study will include 500 employees from both partner countries. 2. Based on research data, create a methodology focused on promoting physical activity at workplaces in countries with low rates. Our aim is to offer employer a new tools how to encourage employees to be active in the workplaces by integrating innovative physical activity measures into their daily routine.
