TRAILS - Trails Maintenance and Exploration with Passions

The vision of the TRAILS project is to develop an innovative approach to inspiring the young generation to volunteer in trail marking and maintenance and helping them stay passionate about outdoor exploration. Specific objectives of the project: - To encourage young people to be more physically active by spending time outdoors practising hiking - To develop a set of good practices aiming at the promotion of volunteering in sport - To create a network of active hikers and trail makers dedicated to the development and maintenance of hiking infrastructure - Contribute to maintaining hiking trails in EU TRAILS project objectives will be fulfilled through foreseen 3 international study visits in Slovakia, Serbia and Austria for 36 mountain guides, active hikers, trail markers and youth workers, 3 national hiking events for 90 participants, the TRAILS report and Markers’ digital Diaries. Lessons learned during three study visits will be disseminated and multiplied during national events in each partner country.
