Summary

Our project was created under the coordination of Altinboynuz Sport Club, which is one of the rowing clubs established in Istanbul Turkey, Altınbaş University, Turkey; Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and Accademia IRSEI APS - Research Institute for Development, Economy and Innovation, Italy. Our aim is to ensure that raising awareness among women (60+ age and 18-35 years old) of the importance of health-promoting physical activity, as well as to promote sport, social inclusion and equal opportunities for all. In addition, raising awareness about gender equality and gender discrimination through sports, offering equal conditions for different women age groups with sea rowing and swimming will help them acquire a new sports hobby for their daily life. We will have three main activities. First three activities (coastal rowing, pilates and wellbeing education) will be in Istanbul, Turkey. The third main activity (swimming) will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece. Before these main activities, there will be an introduction and project planning meeting (kick-off meeting) in Parma, Italy. At the end of the project, there will be an international conference organized under the project dissemination events in Istanbul, Turkey. The result of the project will be announced to large audiences through social media and local press releases. After the project is productive, a new partnership will be established.
