SITAB - Social inclusion through adapted basketball

This project is to include disabled people in regular sports activities. This sport is adapted to basketball, and the activities are in two directions - one is the training of coaches, managers, and volunteers, and the other is the attraction of disabled people for regular sports activities and the organization of wheelchair basketball tournaments in the Balkans. The foundations of the next larger study will be laid. The research will be done on the relationship between how certain exercises improve the respective qualities of the participants - speed, accuracy, and strength. The results of the research will be published in an exercise kit. The results of the project will be published in a handbook. Project objective: Increased access to sports and physical activities for European people with disabilities (including women): Expected results = R1 - Increased access to in adapted sports for people with disabilities (including women), such as wheelchair basketball, organizing competitions.Increased awareness of people with disabilities, their families, and the wider community for barriers and challenges R2 โ Getting results from the study on the development of the physical qualities of young people with disabilities โ athletes to improve physical performance and the mental state of people with motor disabilities R3 - Improve the professional skills of coaches and other relevant professional groups with regard to integrating inclusive approaches and practices. Outputs: -- Creation of social pages and a group of all participants - Creating a project logo and other information materials - banners, leaflets. - Organization of sports activities with disabled people 2 times a week - Useful Exercise Kit - Handbook of good practices Organization of 2 meetings and 2 sports events. Conducting research 3 times during the project.
