SIGGS 3.0 - Support the Implementation of Good Governance in Sport 3.0
▶Summary
The project “Support the Implementation of Good Governance in Sport 3.0 - SIGGS 3.0” involves the European Olympic Committee (coordinator) and SYMANTRA (partner) with the aim to use digital technologies to better inform and guide European National Olympic Committees, International, European and National Federations in improving and implementing good governance principles. The idea of the project SIGGS 3.0 is to update the existing SIGGS 2.0 both in terms of content and software; accordingly, the SIGGS 3.0 project is designed to review the existing contents, adding new principles (i.e environmental sustainability, inclusion and diversity) and topics (e.g. human rights, safeguarding….) related to good governance. In addition, it includes the update of the IT software and its design to increase the tool’s features and boost users' experience. Accordingly, the project includes a series of multiplier events to reach out to European National Olympic Committees, International, European and National Federations and other relevant stakeholders outside the project consortium to test the SIGGS 3.0 tool and further disseminate it among their networks (i.e regional/local sports clubs). Hence, within the project timeframe - 15 months - the consortium is expected to produce 8 deliverables – including the SIGGS 3.0 tool and related users audio visual manual – in order to better inform/guide European National Olympic Committees, International, European and National Federations - and indirect beneficiaries - in self-assessing their current good governance principle and benchmark their governance standards against other sports organisations in Europe (and beyond) with up to date content and an improved users' experience.
