LWG - Ladies Woods EU Golf Contest
โถSummary
Despite numerous policies in favor of gender equality, women still earn less than men in Europe today. A gap that varies significantly between the various member countries. Europe is still a long way from real equality between the sexes. The EU is also confident that attention to the environment can improve the quality of life of European citizens, as well as help sectors of the economy such as forestry and tourism. The protection of wild flora and fauna can coexist with social and economic interests, but for this to happen we must achieve 'sustainable development', seeking to improve the quality of life without causing damage to the environment, to future generations and to people. The idea of WOODS GOLF and therefore to use a park, a pine forest or rural areas instead of a golf course is to provide a solution to the problem of the economic analysis of recreational activities, in relation, in particular, to the policies of regulation of these activities and the safeguarding of environmental compatibility. The main Action foresees by the project "LadyWoods EUGolf Contest" is to create a Woods Golf international event involving 225 participants coming from 15 European Countries. Our proposal targets Ladies from 18 to 40 years old, using Woods Golf as integration tool; ladies trained that become trainer. To better identify our targets, we have considered a needs analysis based with the data relating to the gender disparity of the EU and, specifically, using the official data of the R&A relating to the situation of women in the world of golf. We are going to have about 200 Ladies instructors all over Europe, ready to spread the value of social inclusion as well as sport integration in the whole European Union. Project ambition is to reach 6000 European citizens directly involved and 200 new instructors within 5 years by the end of the project
