OCLP - Olympic Committees' Leadership Program

The general objective of Olympic Committeesβ Leadership Program (OCLP) is to promote responsible leadership in sport organizations and promote dual career among the Olympic athletes. OCLP aims to build responsible leadership capacity among National Sport Federations and promote dual career knowledge and understanding among athletes competing in Olympic sports and among National Sport Federations. The project is aiming to research the specific issues and needs that occur in project countries and prepare tools to support development of leaders and leadership knowledge among sport organizations in the project countries. OCLP project aims to deliver workshops for aspiring leader from National Sport Federations and athletes to develop their leadership skills and knowledge. It will include online live sessions with role models from the project countries and beyond. It will also include a mentorship program, where aspiring leaders will be mentored by established leaders with understanding of sport. To provide cross-sectoral learning, an effort will be made to attract leaders from outside the sport sector to participate in the mentorship program. In the OCLP project the partners decided to involve four National Olympic Committees β from Poland, Greece, Croatia and Ukraine. All of the above mentioned NOCs are members of the European Olympic Committees and the International Olympic Committee. To provide specialized knowledge in research and education background, two think tanks - one specialized in sport governance and one specialized in innovation will be involved.
