โ–ถSummary

The School Sport Club of Sighetu Marmatiei and The Athletic Youth Club of Argyroupoli are successful at local and national levels but lack international exposure. To address this, a transnational joint 8-month project aims to promote education in and through sport for 96 athletes and 6 coaches. The specific objectives include (1) supporting skills development by organizing two 10-day sport camps with joint workouts, workshops, and cultural activities, (2) developing 1 joint training session for 6 coaches during the sport camp in Greece, and (3) promoting European values and fostering experience exchange. The expected results are improving skills and knowledge in sports for 96 athletes and 6 coaches and promoting intercultural dialogue. The program will be designed to provide students with strength and conditioning exercises, nutritional guidance, and psychological support to help students achieve optimal athletic performance, seminars and workshops on injury prevention, leadership, communication and teamwork. The training for the coaches will enable them to exchange knowledge and expertise, learn new training techniques, and develop their coaching skill, covering coaching techniques, leadership, and safety guidelines etc. The coaches and athletes will benefit concretely from the joint training sessions and cultural exchange, which will contribute to their personal and professional development. The regular integration of project results in the organizations' work will ensure the project's sustainability and contribute to the development of an international network of coaches and athletes. Finally, the project's impact on promoting European values and fostering intercultural dialogue will have long-lasting effects on the participating organizations and the wider community.
