SportWay - Sport play, for winnig the way (Non-for-profit European sport events)

The project will connect three partner organisations from Slovenia, Austria and Italy. We will perform three international inclusive sport events in each country. The events will be intended for sports activities for all participants, regardless of their possible disadvantages (special needs, school drop-out youngsters, the elderly, different cultural and national backgrounds ...). One of the main objectives will be raising awareness about voluntarism in sport through finding new methods for their engagement. One of them will be also including volunteers from disadvantaged target groups. Sport events will include inclusive sport workshops and tournaments, where all the participants can play. Focus is on Fair play philosophy and positive collaboration among all kind of participants. Through this project we will also develop exact guidelines “how to organise an inclusive sport event” and at the same time set up checklist for Fair play measurement. Sport activities will mainly be performed by local sport clubs and sport associations, which will help to create inclusive environment. One of the long-term objectives is that also regular sport clubs become inclusive and start giving opportunities for enrollment of participants with disadvantages. We want that also inclusive sports events like ours become part of European Week of Sport. Not only in partner countries but also at EU level.
