The Nordic Walking Warriors: Breast Cancer Edition project aims to raise awareness and encourage people with physical disabilities, that is, people with breast cancer or those who have recovered, to Nordic walking as an effective way of exercise, and to identify the potential benefits or challenges associated with this type of exercise. Nordic walking, a low-impact form of exercise that involves walking with poles, has been shown to be an effective form of rehabilitation for persons who have survived breast cancer. Project activities are focused on analyze existing scientific and professional research and identify good practice examples, develop an effective Nordic walking e-training program for breast cancer patients and survivors that will include experts (kinesiologist-trainer, physiatrist or physiotherapist) and people who have overcome cancer breast, organize two workshops for experts, conduct a 3-month training program, establish a quality measurement methodology of training program which include qualitative and quantitative indicators.
