EH for All 2.0 - EURO HOOP for All 2.0
▶Summary
Baskin “BAsket Integrated” is a sport clearly inspired by basketball, but with modified rules that allows anyone to take part in the game in a meaningful way. For once, disabled people no longer have to adapt to an existing sport, but a sport adapts to them which can also accommodate most forms of disability. Baskin is most definitely a sport for ALL: men and women regardless of age or fitness level can play, together with disabled people with different levels of disability. EH for All 2.0 project’s strategy intends to exploit the special role that sport can play for communities as an important contribution towards social cohesion, supporting the ‘sport for all’ principle. EH for All 2.0 project’s general objective is to organize and launch the European- wide EURO HOOP for All 2.0 Event which includes Baskin Tournaments along with Educational & Social initiatives, under the umbrella of European Week of Sport 2024, thereby raising awareness of the value of sport in promoting social inclusion, health and well-being. By adapting sport to suit the needs of participants and adopting a recreational model of sport to encourage reaching larger social goals, the event will promote sport cooperation, stimulating contacts and networks' creation between people from different social groups and with different capabilities. A European Association for Baskin is set up through the development of inclusive trainings considering both the need of sport participation-oriented and performers-oriented persons and the awareness raising and advocacy campaign #JoinTheChange/BASKIN2024 on sport community. A richly interactive communication strategy aimed to maximize the project impact on the target groups: disabled peoples, athletes, sport organizations and club, decision-makers, Sport Movements and Associations, Organisations active in the field of social inclusion and disability will be increasingly attracted and engaged in the project's progress to optimize the benefits of each activity that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
