The WIN - What Women Need project, focuses on the fusion of sport and social inclusion. The aim of the project is to combat the social isolation of women and gender-based violence, two problems further aggravated by the pandemic crisis. Research conducted in recent years shows that the greatest burden of family management has fallen on women, causing isolation, anxiety, depression; violent behavior has increased; there was a worsening of economic conditions and an increase in pathologies due to reduced physical activity. WIN - What Women Need involves 4 partners from Italy, Croatia, Spain, with experiences in the sports, social and environmental fields. The project, supported by sports clubs, social services, third sector entities, tackles problems in a systemic way by working in synergy with women, with families and with the context in which they live. The specific objectives it pursues are: - to foster female empowerment to create a solid social network - to foster relationships to combat domestic violence against women and disabled women - to increase the level of awareness of women, greater self-care and reduce care and domestic burden - reduce female sedentary lifestyle thus reducing health risks - bring women closer to the world of sport, involve them in sports associations and promote employment and economic opportunities. The results of the project will influence the local level ensuring greater gender equality, cohesion among women and sharing of European values among the residents. At an international level, it will have a positive influence on the sharing of know-how and the entry into Erasmus of a partner of the newcomers project.
