โ–ถSummary

The International Erasmus Games 2025 project aim to increase sport volunteering and encourage healthy lifestyles of the Erasmus Generation through a network of ESN volunteers by a)offering educational material on sport volunteering and well-being to student organisations b)connecting the Erasmus Generation around the event and providing volunteering opportunities c)promoting the International Erasmus Gamesโ€™ Olympic spirit, health and volunteering aspects, but also sport as a universal language which unites all. To do so, in addition to the main event, the project foresees activities to increase the quality of event delivery, volunteering in the grassroots sport sector and the importance of promoting physical activity among the international student community, as well as maximizing the impact these activities have on different groups of people, by making volunteering more inclusive. In this sense, the proposal is innovative because, besides the organisation of the IEG main event and the local and national rounds, it has a theoretical component that can be put into practice already during the project lifecycle. The main event, IEG2025, is a transnational event by its very nature and has a strong EU dimension as the activities will impact individual participants and participating organisations across Europe. It is innovative also in multicultural and gender terms: each International Erasmus Games team is truly international, since participants will be representing the country where they are doing their mobility, and gender-equal as both men and women are represented on the field at all times, which doesnโ€™t often occur in official sport competitions. The entire project is designed to incorporate meaningful youth engagement throughout different phases; address the challenges of international students when it comes to health and well-being and active engagement in sport; promote sport volunteering as key-element for a more inclusive, healthy, and socially active Europe. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
