European sport needs to improve the recruitment and retention of skilled workers, but traditional employment practices are holding this back. Sport needs to embrace new forms of employment to boost access and flexibility and make working in sport a more attractive option for good jobs and lasting careers. AIM IN-FORMS, a partnership of 12 organisations representing employers, universities, research institutes and sport federations in 10 countries, aims to promote innovation in EU sport employment and build the sector’s capacity to use new forms of employment to improve employability and expand the supply of skilled labour. OBJECTIVES 1. Collect evidence of the potential of employment innovation to address recruitment and retention challenges 2. Inform policy and decision makers on sport employment needs and the potential of employment innovation to address these 3. Build the capacity of organisations and individuals in the sector to use new forms of employment ACTIVITIES > EU survey of 400 sport organisations on employment challenges and the need for employment innovation > 50 interviews with organisations and individuals involved in new forms of employment > 10 national and 1 EU consultation events to develop recommendations for policy and decision makers > Designing good practice roadmaps and digital tools to help organisations, workers and self-employed implement new forms of employment > Training partner and network staff to become experts in employment innovation > Organising an EU conference on employment innovation in sport RESULTS IN-FORMS will engage 2000+ stakeholders at all levels in research and dissemination, with the following outputs: > Research report > Information papers for policy and decision makers > Digital tools to guide organisations, workers and self-employed through the implementation of new forms of employment > A network of 15 employment innovation experts to support ongoing implementation > Dissemination and sustainability action plan that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
