US - United in Sport
โถSummary
The project addresses the inclusion and diversity priority and promotes equal opportunities for engagement in the sports action and reducing entry barriers to the programme for less experienced, grassroots organizations. The project consortium is composed of seven organisations from 3 European countries (Italy, Spain, Poland) active in the field of sport and youth and is dedicated to increasing the capacity of these organisations based on the actual needs identified by the beneficiaries as they lack opportunities to engage in transnational exchanges on the European level in the field of sport and youth. The US project will also address the general objectives of the call by mainstreaming the engagement of the target groups (sports clubs, schools at a local level, etc.) in the European level actions and increasing their capacity for the development of the future actions by exchanging transnational experience. Importantly, the project promotes the equal participation of the persons coming from different disadvantaged backgrounds with fewer opportunities such as economic, geographic, social inequalities and encourages the participation of the persons facing barriers such as cultural differences, discrimination, disability and health problems. The project contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the Call and takes into account its priorities by building the capacity of the newcomer organisations to get engaged in European level activities and bring the added value to the local level. In addition to it, the US project promotes the active and healthy lifestyle among sport and youth-oriented organisations by exchanging transnational experience and best practices in the involvement of young people in sports activities, supporting the application of the international good practices in the participant sports organizations, mainstreaming active European citizenship. These objectives will be achieved by planned activities before the project ends. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
