Summary

The InSports project addresses strategies to promote the practice of sports by people with physical disabilities. The partners play a pivotal role in this topic, wishing to move forward and build capacity in an empowerment and transnational cooperation to support sports activities for people with physical disabilities and sharing knowledge to overcome associated barriers. The specific objectives (SO) are: - SO#1 To empower MAD4EU with strategies and tools in the field of adapted sports for people with physical disabilities - SO#2 To develop and implement adapted sports sessions suitable for people with physical disabilities that are beneficiaries of MAD4EU - SO#3 To communicate, promote and share strategies and best practices to raise awareness for the impacts of sports in the lives of people with physical disabilities The expected effects of the project clearly show the integration of the project results in the regular work of the participating organizations and are in line with these SO, namely: - Short-term: to empower MAD4EU technical staff with tools and strategies that will help the entity in the implementation of activities related with the practice of sports by people with physical disabilities (related to SO#1 and #2). - Medium-term: to raise awareness on the relevance and positive impact of the regular practice of sports by people with physical disabilities and engage this target group into sports (related SO#2 and #3). - Long-term: to build capacity for newcomers and less experienced organisations to do the actions they once dreamed to pursuit (all SO). The InSports project should be considered as highly relevant since the depicted SO are in line with the “inclusion and diversity” priority, as they intend to promote equal opportunities and access to sports for people with physical disabilities. The project impact will be elevated as it could lead to the creation of a European Network to support these types of sport activities and social inclusion. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
