โ–ถSummary

The main objective of our project is to support the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the European Universities Games (EUG) 2024, as a not-for-profit European sport and cultural event. Our goal is to provide a high-quality event for participants from around 400 universities of 40 countries, and to run a value-creating volunteer program based on the traditions of the previous games as well as an educational side-event program promoting the values of European university sports and volunteerism. As the organizers of the next EUG, we believe that we can make the 2024 event truly special through the volunteer program and the educational side-event program, thereby creating a long-lasting legacy both locally and internationally. Taking advantage of the social organizing power of sport, certain elements of the project are particularly suited to promote volunteering among our main target group and in addition, to promote active lifestyle, the compatibility of learning and sport, and community values such as equal opportunities, inclusion and sustainability. The project will be realized in close cooperation with the European University Sport Association (EUSA) as our most important key stakeholder in this project. Together with EUSA we strive for strengthening the important identity-forming element of the event and this project through European higher education institutions and other EUSA stakeholders, strengthening the community-forming power of sports and volunteer services, and connecting economically and culturally fragmented groups by means of the activities that our project focuses on.With a successful proposal, the EU fund means a great opportunity to prepare our organization to receive, manage and support volunteers, to make volunteering attractive to the target group and to implement a series of educational programs that contribute to the transfer of knowledge and the development of continent-scale cooperation in the European university sports community. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
