Sailing Digital - Sailing into the digital future
โถSummary
Digitalization has taken a hold of many if not all aspects of our lives. Digital skills have become necessary in our daily lives, for our societal participation and also for participation in sport activities. Applications, results, information, all is becoming accessible digitally, but only if we have proper skills. Our project is aimed at enhancing the digital skills of our participants, so they can fully participate with many of the digital tools available in this sport, and at sharing the newly-acquired skills within our networks. Participation in the project will strengthen the connections of partner clubs, increase their capacities for operationg on international level, and facilitate exchange of knowledge and good practices. Our coaches and staff will meet for an educational seminar where they will learn about the digital advancements in the field, available applications and learn the necessary knowledge from our expert partner. With the newly acquired knoweldge, they will themselves create an educational short seminar in their own language, and carry out educational activities for their own networks of sailing and yachting clubs, at their local events. They will also create an educational brochure on the topic of digitalization and digital advancement in sailing/yachting in their own language and share it within their networks. We will collect feedback on the needs within clubs, and learn about the state of affairs within partner countries. Digital knowledge will enable our coaches and staff to fully participate in the available applications, increase their competences to use the existing tools and widen their possibilities of participation. It will facilitate the work of clubs and widen their reach. 5 people from each organization will participate in the seminar, plus the local stakeholders and invited clubs. Each club will reach at least 20, and up to 100 organizations from their networks with the brochure and education. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
