BasketGirl - Inclusion of Women in Basketball
▶Summary
The project aims to promote the inclusion of women in basketball by creating a structured and supportive environment that fosters their socialisation and integration into the community. The project will target women of all ages and backgrounds who are interested in basketball, with a focus on those who may face barriers to participation due to cultural or social factors. The project will be implemented in three phases: 1. Needs assessment: The project team will conduct a needs assessment to identify the challenges faced by women in the community and the barriers that prevent them from participating in basketball. The team will also identify the skills and knowledge needed by coaches to effectively work with women from diverse backgrounds. 2. Training and capacity building: The project team will organise training and capacity building activities for coaches and women to develop their basketball skills and improve their knowledge of the game. The team will also provide training on cultural awareness, communication, and team building to help women from diverse backgrounds feel more comfortable and included. 3. Implementation and evaluation: The project team will implement the project by organising regular basketball training sessions and games. The team will also organise cultural exchange activities to promote cross-cultural understanding among the women. The project will be evaluated to assess its impact on the women's socialisation, self-confidence, and basketball skills. The project will have a positive impact on the women's socialisation by providing them with a supportive environment to interact with their peers and develop social connections. The project will also contribute to the promotion of gender equality in sports and the integration of women from diverse backgrounds into the community. The project's outcomes will be disseminated through various channels to raise awareness and inspire other communities to replicate the project's success. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
