Summary

The specific objective of “the Intergenerational Joint Archery Orienteering” (ARCHORI) project is developing the skills of the elderly and young people on traditional archery sport and its culture through the joint training programmes in order to preserve traditional archery sport and transfer it to the future generation; and increasing joint intergenerational traditional archery sport activities in order to involve the elderly people in sports area and social life, to prevent ageism in sport and to develop intergenerational tolerance in the EU. The target groups: 10 people aged 65 and 10 young people aged between 13-17 in the partner countries.The activities : Activity 1- Creating the main and detailed rules, equipment, tactics, and guidelines for competition regulations, event logistics, and course design of "the category of the intergenerational joint archery orienteering". Activity 2- Organizing the international trainers’ training program on "the category of the intergenerational joint archery orienteering" training. Activity 3- Organizing the local pilot "the category of the intergenerational joint archery orienteering" training program in partner countries program for young and elderly people to improve their sports and cultural knowledge and skills in traditional archery. Activity 4- Organizing international competition of "the category of the intergenerational joint archery orienteering" sport category Activity 5- Creating the handbook on "preventing ageism, developing intergenerational tolerance and inclusion of the elderly in society through sports". Activity 6- Creating a proposal dossier to present to Traditional archery Federations in the partner countries for implementing "the category of the intergenerational joint archery orienteering" sport category in official competitions. Activity 7- Organising the flash mob activities to raise awareness with the theme of preventing ageism and developing intergenerational tolerance and creating a pr that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
