DualSS - Athletes' Dual Success in Sports and Studies

In today's competitive world, sports and academics play a crucial role in shaping an individual's career. Elite athletes often face the challenge of balancing their time between sports and academics. This project’s main goal is aimed to create a supportive environment that allows DC athletes to excel both on the field and in the classroom, providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed in both domains. The specific objectives to achieve the scope of our project are: SO1. Build a strong collaboration relationship between the partner clubs, reinforcing our capacity of transnational cooperation. SO2. Improve the academic performance of dual career athletes by 10% within the first year, as measured by their graduation rates. SO3. Enhance the knowledge and skills of club staff members in supporting DC athletes by providing workshops and training sessions, with at least 70% of attendees reporting increased confidence and competence in supporting dual career athletes. SO4. Disseminate project to at least 20.000 persons in Spain and Portugal by the end of Project, as measured by the number of participants in dissemination events, the number of visits to websites and Social Media impact of the activities. To achieve this, the project will rely on research, best practices available, will undertake a specific needs assessment, team will work together and meet 4 times in transnational meetings, workshops and Info Sessions will be organised, together with sharing and promotion activities in each country. The project will positively impact first DC Athletes but also on club staff, parents, and the community in general. - 50 DC Athletes directly implicated. - 100 Parents & Citizens attending Events. - 30 Sports attending Workshops and Events - 30 Club staff attending Workshops and Events - 20.000 General public reached through InfoPoints, social media, Press, etc. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
