β–ΆSummary

The overall objective of the project is to contribute at increasing the quality of work in preventing radicalization and extremism in Europe, particularly among young people with fewer opportunities involved in football, through building collaboration between various local and international sport organizations. The project aims to stop radicalization and extremism behaviours among young football players by strengthening the capacities of coaches and youth workers through training in order to prevent and recognize early warning signs. The project’s activities are essential for promoting positive social and personal values, and presenting the sport as a beneficial environment that supports the ethical development of young people. The training model that will be developed during the project can be successfully implemented in football clubs from partner countries and potentially expanded to other EU Member States. The project is relevant to the scope of the call to address common needs and priorities in the field of sport since it seeks to address the issue of radicalization and violent extremism in football, which is a common challenge faced by many countries in the EU. The project's focus on football as a tool for preventing radicalization is innovative and fills an important gap in current prevention strategies. By working with football coaches, youth workers, and young players, the project aims to develop and disseminate effective educational tools that can be implemented across different European countries. The project's focus on social inclusion, gender equality, and sustainability also aligns with EU values and objectives. By engaging with stakeholders at different levels, including football clubs, public bodies, and scientific communities, the project aims to maximize its impact and increase the quality of work, activities and sport practices of youth workers and football coaches, ensuring that its results are effectively applied. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
