The project Data analysis and dual career: new paths for football athletes [DAFNE] have chosenthe figure of the Data Analyst, increasingly in demand in the sporting environment, as a factor in combating the dual career issues of less advantaged athletes: an innovative, immediately marketable, and fast growing professional competence, proposing a concrete solution to a very sensitive area in the European policy framework. Objectives The project aims to develop innovative professional profiles within the field of Data Analytics, creating ad hoc training modules able to train professionals and provide footballers at lower levels with a valid tool to counteract dual career problems. Obj.1 โ Improve athletes' skills in analyzing performance data concerning football matches, thus equipping them with an expertise spendable on the labour market; Obj.2 โ Search for the best time management and planning models applicable to the life of the athlete and football player, making the practice of sport and the practice outside sport compatible;; Obj.3 โ Test and pilot a hybrid educational methodology, based on NFE modules and a digital in-game simulator thus enhancing learning outcomes and learning time by means of tools with a high degree of realism; Results: R1:Handbook containing a Curriculum on technical skills and requirements to be gained for the Data Performance Analyst role; stats and insight on the labour market related to this figure; R2:A recommendation report for Sport Institutions about organizational models and planning tools for athletes facing Dual - Career paths; R3: An e-learning platform providing a MOOC to make athletes acquire notions, principles, rules and methodologies relating to the analysis of players' performance.
