OLS - Over Limits Sports
โถSummary
The project "Over Limits Sports" intends to initiate a process that promotes the social inclusion of people with psychological problems through the practice of sporting activities for young people. Through sports workshops and group therapeutic activities led by psychologists, young participants are encouraged to relate to each other, managing to recognize their own value and increase their self-esteem, in order to achieve a good level of physical and mental well-being. The project was born from the need to contribute to the resolution of the serious problem associated with the spread of psychiatric diseases among young Europeans. Sport represents an excellent tool for helping people with psychological problems, for this reason "Over Limits Sports" promotes a healthy lifestyle, which includes the possibility of practicing different sports and various techniques of meditation, breathing and mindfulness practice. The project includes a tour in the different partner countries, to learn how to practice different activities, from basketball in Greece, to mountain biking in the mountains of North Macedonia and other activities in other countries. With these activities we want to create a group of young people who are more aware of their value and included in their communities, also strengthening cooperation between themselves and between them and the organizations that work for them. The project produces a guide and video tutorials, to allow interested individuals and organizations to be able to practice the activities promoted by the project independently, even after the end of the activities of this project. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
