UTAB - United through adapted basketball
βΆSummary
UTAB is a 12-month project of a consortium of 4 countries - Bulgaria (coordinator), Romania, Ukraine, and Armenia. The main goal is to increase the capacity of organizations for inclusion in sports activities (basketball with wheelchairs) of disabled people. By promoting participation in sports for people with disabilities, the project aims to empower participants and create a lasting positive impact on the European sports community. The project offers a main event - a large tournament with the participation of 4 teams, side events, and a strategically designed work plan with three interrelated work packages. This inclusive event is supported by side events such as a referee workshop, coaching workshop, and volunteer training. The work plan consists of three work packages: - Work Package 1 (WP1) β Project Management and Coordination: This package ensures seamless communication and collaboration between stakeholders, meeting management, monitoring, evaluation, financial management, and progress reporting. - Work Package 2 (WP2) β Training seminars and organizing events WP2 covers the main activity of UTAB - the Tournament of Teams, including seminars, and training of volunteers. -Work package 3 (WP3) β Dissemination, evaluation, and sustainability: WP3 focuses on project evaluation, dissemination of results, and promotion of long-term sustainability of results. The desired impact of the project is related to each target group, but the most important is the inclusion of people with disabilities in sports to remove barriers in front of them and give them opportunities for skill development, networking, and personal growth. The project aims to create a lasting legacy by promoting long-term accessibility and inclusion within the European sports community. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
