The MOVE for NATURE hikes and clean-up actions is a network of free events celebrating the joy of moving outdoors at your own pace โ joining physical activity with clean-up action. Through hiking and physical activity in nature, the MOVE4NATURE project also promotes healthy lifestyles, inclusion, and intergenerational exchange. The project uses outdoor sports, particularly hiking, as a tool to teach youth, and adults, about the importance of environmental protection and climate action. To restore cleanliness in the countryside and promote bringing back garbage and the โleave no traceโ message, participants of our MOVE4NATURE initiative will organise hiking events for a good cause. Besides promoting physical activity outdoors, the focus of the initiative will be on raising awareness and educating about environmentally friendly behavior and climate change. The overall scope of the project is in line with the horizontal priority: - environment and fight against climate change, - encouraging a healthy lifestyle for all, and the specific priorities in the sport field: - encouraging healthy lifestyle for all, - the promotion of sport and physical activity as a tool for health, - the promotion of activities encouraging the practice of sport and physical activity, - promoting education in and through sport, - volunteering in sport. The above-mentioned strategic objectives will be accomplished by achieving the following specific objectives of the project: - Enhancing participation in physical activities among young people - Environmental education through sport - Disseminating project results and enhancing sustainability that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
