INSPIRA (INclusive SPorts Innovative Resilience Advancement in tennis) project falls into Erasmus+ Sport priority โEncouraging healthy lifestyles for allโ, focusing on the implementation of the Council Recommendation on health-enhancing physical activity and the EU Physical Activity Guidelines and the promotion of sport and physical activity as a tool for health. The project joins 1 leading EU University, 1 national academy for science and four EU sports clubs to implement an intergenerational project (targeting people of ages above 10 to 60 years aged) through the elaboration, piloting, evaluation, and dissemination of a state-of-the-art European (EU) club-based model โ INSPIRA Tennis Social Clubs for Health (TSCH) - based on the EU Sports Clubs for Health (ScforH) and Health-Promoting Sports Clubs (HPSC) approaches with a community social family-centered focus. INSPIRA project will attract community, tennis sports and health science experts along with AI, big data and multimedia professionals to provide the high expertise needed in elaborating and sharing a brand new sustainable model of community tennis social clubs for health in Europe โ INSPIRA TSCH. The model will consist of 1 Social Tennis for Health Guidelines, 1 Tennis and Health literacy educational program, 1 intervention digital tool โ FORWARD consisting of a platform and an app, including a matchmaking system โ INSPIRATE and 1 measurement tool for health promotion at sports club level to transform the participating tennis grassroots clubs into the European community social clubs for health. INSPIRA model will be delivered during the project to 150 grassroots tennis athletes (min. of 50 grassroots tennis athletes from each grassroots tennis club taking part in the project including 15 wheelchair tennis athletes, 15 coaches and 15 tennis clubs staff (5 representatives of each sport club). that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
